As an editorial coach and collaborative writer, I work with clients to develop, draft, revise, and—most important—finish their books. Projects I have shepherded to completion have been published by Knopf, Hachette, Random House, HarperCollins, and Simon & Schuster, among other publishing houses. My clients have given main-stage TED Talks, been featured on NPR’s Fresh Air, and had their books reviewed in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and other national publications. My specialty is helping academics, scientists, thought leaders, and public intellectuals turn their ideas into sellable proposals, and then books, though I also work with non-fiction writers across the spectrum, and occasionally novelists as well. While my current focus is on coaching clients from start to finish on book proposals, I offer consultations on completed and in-progress proposals and manuscripts, as well as assistance in finding a literary agent. I’m also available for consulting calls just to bat around and refine ideas. If you are interested in working with me, please email me to tell me about your project and how I might be able to help you.
